Things to Do in Belgrade, Montana
Belgrade, Montana, just down the road from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, sits in the heart of recreation, an ideal location for getting to Big Sky, Yellowstone, Bridger Bowl, Three Forks, or Livingston. Here, the pace is a bit slower, the traffic less congested, and the sense of community strong. Plus, there's plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
Lewis and Clark Park - Home to Gallatin Valley's only splash park, Lewis and Clark Park is a great spot to cool off and spend an afternoon. Grab a picnic from Chalet Market (they make their specialty sausages, jerky, and snack stix in-house), then relax under the picnic shelters. There's also a skate park, playground, tennis courts, and soccer fields!
Rocky Mountain Rotors – Helicopter Tours - Whether it's a charter, a tour, or real estate surveying, you're in good hands with Rocky Mountain Rotors helicopter tours. Serving Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, you'll get a breathtaking perspective of the vast and beautiful mountains surrounding Belgrade.
Madison River Brewing Company - One of the area's first microbreweries, Madison River Brewing Company, is still one of the favorites. For a refreshing summer beer, we suggest the Baetis Belgian Orange. Bright and fresh and not too sweet.
Sentinel Ranch Alpacas - Visiting Sentinel Ranch Alpacas is good for the soul. In this family-run operation, someone is always ready and willing to give you a tour, introduce you to the alpacas, and assist you in the store full of warm, soft attire and home goods. Also, watch for farm-to-table dinners and artistic classes featuring alpaca fiber.
Gallatin Speedway - If you're looking for a bit more thrilling entertainment, Gallatin Speedway is the place to be on Friday nights. There are a variety of classes, local competitors, and lots of noise. Perfect for the rough and tumble in the bunch.
River Rock Pond - This lovely little pond is a local favorite for fishing and swimming. It's also another excellent picnic spot, perfect for cooling off during the day's heat or relaxing and watching the sunset at night.
Belgrade Community Market - A local farmer's market is held each Thursday in Lewis and Clark Park from June through September. In addition to fresh, local food, you'll find arts and craft vendors, homemade preserves, and activities for the kids!
Hiking and Fishing - Belgrade sits on the west side of the Bridger Mountain Range, just a short drive to several of the area's spectacular hiking trails. It's also close to the East Gallatin River, with excellent fishing that is easy for kids to access.
Don't forget to enjoy a delicious meal at one of Belgrade's great restaurants. The variety, quality, and uniqueness are a welcome surprise in a community of this size. Bon appétit!
