For a small town, Livingston packs a big punch. This former railroad town is full of amazing restaurants, like Campione, or the Rib and Chop House. Boutiques such as Boheme Apotheca and High Trash Boutique, galleries like Parks Reece Gallery, and three bookstores. With a population of 7,784, that’s saying something! Almost everything is within walking distance of downtown Livingston. Plus, they have two breweries and Sacajawea City Park, which runs along the Yellowstone River.

Livingston is a bit more laid back than Bozeman. People still linger over coffee and spend time chatting with friends they see on the street. Travel time is nothing, morning commutes average less than 20 minutes, and overall, it’s more affordable than Bozeman. The median…
