There are currently eight elementary schools, which provide education for children from kindergarten to sixth grade. In addition, there are also two middle schools for children enrolled in sixth through eighth grade. For students in high school, Bozeman High School offers unparalleled educational opportunities. Twice named as one of the outstanding schools in America by the U.S. Department of Education, Bozeman high school offers two distinct types of degrees. Traditional students may obtain a General Diploma by completing 21 credits, while fast-track students receive a College Prep Diploma upon the completion of 23 credits. In addition, Bozeman High School has an unbeatable marching band, which was even chosen to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1999!
